It's time for Paul's first PET CT scan since he was diagnosed. This will tell us if the cancer is responding to all of the treatment and will also let us know if the tumors are shrinking. The test itself is easy - fast the night before, no strenuous exercise for 24 hours before the test, then drink what Paul has named the "Pina Colada" drink, which in all actuality is some kind of contrast and then be injected with a shot of some radioactive isotope. It states in the directions that he's not to be in contact with any children or pregnant women for up to 12 hours. I guess screw the rest of us, but save the kids and the breeders.
