This fundraiser and website came about because two good friends decided that something needed to be done after a year of watching their friend, Paul Hornby, struggle to take care of mounting medical bills, endless prescriptions and countless doctors' visits thanks to being diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer that has spread to his liver and lung.

Paul originally hails from Liverpool and was a well known drummer who played in bands such as Nightmares in Wax with Pete Burns (pre-Dead or Alive), Pink Military, the Dogs D'Amour, London Quireboys to name a few. After living in London for 8 years, Paul decided to take the plunge and come stateside in 1988. Since then he has retired from the music industry.

Please spread the word around town to come to the Cancer is a Cant fundraiser at Ye Olde King's Head in Santa Monica on July 28th starting at 5pm. We will be having an auction with amazing items, such 2 night resort stays, an iPad2, dinners for two, jewelery and more from sponsors : Ye Olde King's Head, the Tudor House, the Continental Shop, Fred Segal Salon, Casa del Mar, Nawab of India, Embe Creations, Dogeared, celebrity makeup artist Adrian Villa Zynga and more.

So get your asses down there on July 28th and help a Brit out. And if you happen not to be in town or can't make the event, you can still do your part by making a donation to Cancer is a Cant at PayPal via the donation button on the home page. You'll get some good karma in reward.
